Celeb Crush- Amy Adams

Monday, October 8, 2012

I LOVE Amy Adams!  I think she is so stunning and seem so accessible!  She can rock red hair like it's nobody's business and the girl can do no wrong in her career!  I love how she easily she can go from chic and luxe to bouncy and feminine with her look!  She is my celeb look-a-like and I'll never ever get tired of hearing it!

Greek Yogurt with Fresh fruit

I really, really, really like breakfast and love getting in something really amazing for the morning rush.  I usually have a variety of fruit on hand and love topping all sorts of options on greek yogurt.  I've even had this for lunch and it keeps me full for hours!

1/2 cup or 2 heaping spoonfulls of Non-fat Greek yogurt

Toppings I love:
peaches
rasberries
blueberries
strawberries
high protein granola ( Bear Naked granola)
slivered almonds

Drizzle lightly with honey

A gorgeous, colorful, sweet treat packed with protein to get you off and tackling your day!!

Karen and Aaron- Verandas, Manhattan Beach

Friday, October 5, 2012

I loved Karen's simple and clean look for her wedding!  She is a stunning blonde with the brightest blue eyes!  Just gorgeous!!! She wanted a fresh look and I think she looked like a dream!  For hair we did soft curls and upswept the sides to keep it out of her face.  Didn't she look amazing?!!

Aimee is all things girly and ladylike!  I adore this amazing engagement shoot by Heather Kincaid!  I feel like I'm getting a peek into Aimee and Case's sexy little date.  I love Aimee's clean and classic style and am smitten with that intimate little Parisian cafe called Bottega Louie

Their big day was a couple weeks ago and I can't even describe how lovely Aimee looked!  Can't wait to share!!!

Southwestern Turkey Burgers

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

These burgers are a major staple in the Geoffroy household and great for when you need to whip up something quick in a pinch!  We typically have these ingredients on hand so it makes it easy for a quick week night meal or having friends over and want a lighter burger.  They are super simple and deliver the yummy!

Makes 4 burgers
adapted from Cooking Thin

1  1/2 lb lean ground turkey
4 oz can diced green chiles
 salt and pepper to taste

Toppings:
reduced fat pepper jack cheese slices
whole wheat hamburger buns
avocado
roma tomato
red onion

In large mixing bowl, use hands to mix together turkey, chiles, salt and pepper.  Form into patties with hands.  Heat grill or grill pan to med/high heat.  Grill patties for about 8 minutes each side.

For grilled buns, drizzle olive oil on inside of top and bottom of buns.  Grill oiled side down on grill or grill pan for about 2 minutes.  Keep eye on them to not burn.

Top patties with cheese, tomato, onion and avocado.

Enjoy!

Sara and Matt- The Natural History Museum of LA

The Natural History Museum is just the coolest venue and I love that Sara and Matt made it the backdrop to their big day! I mean really, there was a dinosaur there!!!  Amazing!  I was already booked for the wedding but Ashley created the most lovely look for Sara!  She has the most insanely gorgeous eyes!
